Homeless No More Cat Rescue that is the group's name, Bigger the name than the group but one has to start someplace. Right now we've seven fosters.
We thrive on kitties being adopted to good homes
or similar happy ocassions.
We are not a shelter, just a group of two rescuers, my husband and I. We do the rescuing, vetting, sheltering at our home(that gets full fast) and adopting out.
We're involved in TNR too, in fact that is how our cat work started six years ago. There's a feral colony, some not feral but strays and neighborhood cats at the back of my husbands former business. They tell me that ever sonce anybody remembers there were cats there, so it ebbed and flowed until we trapped and neutered them all, some we got to adopt out and others became our housecats. However the majority lived their lives at the colony. When we took over there were 16 regulars and 4 'onandoffs' cats plus two litters, fast forward two years when the last litter was born there and today only four cats remain. The patriarch died last year and the oldest queen is still there, as is one of her daughters. Both are true ferals, there is a friendly stray we TNRed this year and another younger feral queen.
If we had room we'd have removed them long time ago as numbers are low but as of yet they live in Juju Colony. Juju's the older queen sister, she was shot at the colony in 06', ever since it has been Juju's Colony in her memory.

Why adopting two kittens is better than adopting 'just one'

Franny Syufi comented in AboutCom on 10 reasons adopting 2 kittens is better than one.
1) You'll be saving two lives.
2)One kitten can become lonely.
3)One kitten can drive an older cat nuts.
4) Two kittens will 'self-train'.
5) They help each other burn energy off.
6) Fewer behavior problems with two kittens.
7) Curiosity overcomes 'food finickiness'
8) They act as pillows for each other.
9) Having two kittens is insanely fun.
10) They each will have a friend for life.
Good thought! Now that I've two litters for adoption I'm hoping that some will go together (in pic Marie and sis Celeste)

For Adoption; Celeste

Celeste is a six months old girl for adoption. She's spayed and vaccinated for rabies and distemper. Celeste is and will be a very pretty cat that gets along with people and other cats.
Something killed their mom when they were tiny, Celeste brother had a bite wound, because of that violent past and b/c they haven't met any it's preferable she goes to a home without dogs.

And the patio enclosure welcomed the first guest of the year today(albeit a bit early but it was in the mid 60's and sunny so Luciano and Jerome went out and in the pen, took to it like if they had walked out of same yesterday. Added Molecule the Victorian kit..wal, no, he didn't; first he was mad, then scared, then growly and eventually escaped when I opened the pen door to remove their breakfast dishes, as soon as I glimpsed him again I scooped him up and back indoors he went. So it is Lucho & Jer-Jer again. On pic is Lucho relaxing on the bed(can't find my enclosure pics)

For Adoption; Ramon

..aaaand heeeeeeeeeere's Ramon the third sibling. Cute and oh so sweet Ramon is 9 months old, altered and UTD with vaccinations. Like his brother and sister he contracted the herpes virus, but all that remains visible is a often weepy eye.
Ramon is more than sweet, he's syrupy and has gorgeous black stripes. He needs a family with other herpes kitties or no cats. Ramon loves people and other cats but no dogs.
As I said before it would be wonderful if all the litter is adopted together, Ramon seems versatile and is outgoing so he might likely adapt to live without his siblings. Of the three I know Philou would not.

For Adoption; Philou and Fiorella

Philou(top right) and Fiorella AKA Fio are 9 months old brother and sister for adoption. Both are altered and UTD with vaccinations. They are two of a litter of three, so adopting also the third sibling would be ideal but at least one must go with Philou as he'd be disconsolate if he's by himself. This litter has herpes and though they don't show symptoms now_you can maybe notice Philou scarred nose? He had an ulcer there when he was a baby_Fio is a latent carrier.
Other than the ocassional sneeze she never had symptoms_they should be adopted out into a household with no kitties or other than have herpes. They were 2 week old orphans we raised so people is mom to them, absolutely love humans, children, other cats but no dogs.
Philou is your housecat par excellance with a loud motor, laps are favorites of his, Fiorella has an Oriental touch, is elegant, slim, a bit crosseyed and more vocal than her brothers. I'll introduce you to Ramon, the third sibling in my next post.
