Sara Jane

How was that about time flying..here's Sara Jane_veery camera shy so no good photography yet_a 5 years old, Manx type and polydactyl sweet kitty whose owner passed away so she needs a new family.

Sara would prefer to be the one and only kitty though dogs are ok, also other pets. She's spayed and UTD on shots. Above is Sara looking at the camera and her rump before she found security under the bed;)

Francisco and hi again

O me o my..time has flown..I've had Francisco since early June at home_in Clovis room, overnites in kennel and is loose in the room while nobody else(Bonnie, Marie and Celeste) is there. Y'know Francisco, the declawed & neutered FIV+ "feral".

He fed at Rosskillys, one day he showed up with an ear hematoma, Rosemary told me where she thought he lived. I went to the house and sure enough Francisco (Cheddar to owners) lived there. Not only that but Ike AKA Muffin too!

Those are the good news, this people had him neutered and vaccinated so he probably tested + because of that.

Bad news; they declawed him but eventually Francisco lived in/out, now out all the time b/c he doesn't get along with Ike.

Got F to vet who did surgery on the hematoma, brought him back to Rosemary who let him stay at their trailer while he healed. Trailer got too hot so Jon suggested he could stay in our house.

Yay but..talked to owner and though he's very sweet and is attached to both Francisco and Ike he doesn't understand why he should stay indoors plus his wife has Alzeihmers and I can see it'll be problematic for them to take care of the cats. He told me they euthanize when they are 'too old' so I'm concerned, F is between 8 and 10 yrs, maybe Ike too.

I'll ask him to surrender F to me so I can put him up for adoption. He's no problem but has fleas, allergies and mites besides of being declawed so he needs constant care besides of being kept indoors.

Barbara..now you see me, now you don't

Oooh..this is Barbara..a stray teen that got spayed last week. I had arranged for Rosemary(feral feeder) to foster her until I find her a home, or one of mine gets adopted out and I can take her, but she_according to neighbors_went with some kids in their house. I keep patroling in case I see her again, she's such a nice kitty, does deserve a good forever
place.

I thought you'd appreciate a photo of Jon putting Tigger back in her cage at the vet;)..no, really Tigger is a friendly 'feral' my neighbors have in their colony. We got her spayed and yesterday at PU time I planned on taking a photo of her for my records, she lasted a few seconds almost saying cheese in Jon's arms, then it was freakout time so as he was putting her back in cage I got that(that I didn't realize I had). She was very scared but is not feral. I don't like to return them to colony when they are friendly but at least she's spayed now.

Oh no..

Riding home saw a young cat dead against the curb. And it was raining. Seeing ran over animals always makes me sad but when their bodies are exposed to the elements it seems worse, like if her death didn't matter to the world. RIP little black cat.
